Sfide che ostacolano lo sviluppo dello sport in Nigeria: concentrarsi sulla trasformazione del calcio

Abstract

Lo sport continua a essere un utile motore di sviluppo nazionale. Diversi sport sono motori di pace e sviluppo sociale. Tuttavia, occorre sottolineare che lo sport è oggi uno dei motori delle relazioni globali tra i cittadini. Questo studio traccia il posto dello sport nella cultura dello sviluppo nazionale nigeriano. Ha utilizzato materiale secondario per identificare le sfide che hanno minato il calcio in Nigeria, tra cui, a titolo esemplificativo ma non esaustivo, corruzione, perdite di tempo, pessimi arbitri, nepotismo, cattive politiche governative, ecc. e di conseguenza raccomanda maggiori investimenti governativi nello sport, nella formazione professionale, nel miglioramento dell'arbitraggio e nell'incoraggiamento degli atleti migranti che hanno viaggiato all'estero a tornare a casa e a partecipare alla costruzione dello sport.
