Desafíos que obstaculizan el desarrollo deportivo en Nigeria: enfoque en la transformación del fútbol

Resumen

Los deportes siguen siendo motores útiles del desarrollo nacional. Los diferentes deportes son motores de la paz y el desarrollo social. Sin embargo, cabe señalar que en la actualidad el deporte forma parte de los motores de las relaciones globales entre los ciudadanos. Este estudio analiza el lugar que ocupa el deporte en la cultura de desarrollo nacional de Nigeria. Utilizó materiales secundarios para identificar los desafíos que han socavado el fútbol en Nigeria, que incluyen, entre otros, la corrupción, la fuga de jugadores, el mal arbitraje, el nepotismo, las malas políticas gubernamentales, etc. y en consecuencia recomienda una mayor inversión gubernamental en el deporte, la formación profesional, la mejora del arbitraje, así como incentivar a los atletas migrantes que han viajado al extranjero a regresar a casa y sumarse a la construcción del deporte.
