Resumen

Esta revisión sistemática tuvo como objetivo analizar el impacto del Yoga en la flexibilidad, el equilibrio, la fuerza, la velocidad y la agilidad de los jugadores de fútbol profesionales. La investigación se llevó a cabo en las bases de datos B-On (Academic Search Complete; SportDiscus; APA PsycInfo), International Journal of Yoga, International Journal Yogic, Human Movement and Sport Science, GoogleScholar, PuBMed, Journal of Strength and Conditioning Research, Researchgate, de Enero de 2011 a diciembre de 2022, seleccionando 15 artículos elegibles. De ellos, 3 Yoga y flexibilidad, 1 capacidad de equilibrio, agilidad y competencia de reacción, 1 fuerza abdominal, 1 diferencia entre ejercicios de resistencia y Yoga, 2 flexibilidad y fuerza, 1 flexibilidad y equilibrio, 1 fuerza, 1 flexibilidad, equilibrio y fuerza. Mejora en el equilibrio y agilidad de los futbolistas 1 artículo, 1 Flexibilidad y Agilidad, 1 en velocidad y agilidad y 1 en el mejor rendimiento de los deportistas que practican Yoga. Los estudios que incluyeron el yoga en el entrenamiento de atletas encontraron mejoras en la flexibilidad, el equilibrio, la fuerza, la velocidad y la agilidad. Esta revisión puede ser un punto de partida para ayudar a demostrar el potencial del Yoga como parte de la formación de los futbolistas profesionales, en la mejora de sus acciones técnicas y como referente en la mejora de variables de estudio.
