¿Los futbolistas han evitado la interacción física en los partidos después del Covid-19?

Resumen

El COVID-19 ha afectado todos los componentes de nuestra rutina diaria desde diciembre de 2019. Una de las industrias afectadas por las medidas de prevención del COVID-19 fue el fútbol. La mayoría de las ligas se detuvieron temporalmente y luego se reiniciaron sin espectadores, lo que provocó importantes pérdidas económicas en esta industria. El objetivo de este estudio fue investigar si los jugadores evitaban las interacciones físicas con sus oponentes después de que se reiniciaran las ligas. Los datos cubrieron 6 ligas de fútbol europeas con 5689 partidos de las temporadas 2018-2021. Los parámetros examinados en el estudio fueron faltas, desafío, desafío aéreo, carga de hombros, número de recepciones en posesión, tiempo en posesión y tiempo promedio en posesión. Los resultados mostraron que los jugadores podrían haber evitado las interacciones físicas para protegerse de un posible contagio. Es necesario brindar mayores condiciones de higiene y estudios de concientización para evitar posibles efectos negativos del COVID-19 en la industria del fútbol.
