Football on the net: an analysis of twitters on the use of video arbitration in the brazilian championship of 2019
Abstract
This article presents a discussion about founds in a scientific initiation research. It aimed to analyze the opinions and repercussions on social networks, regarding the modernization of Brazilian football through the practical use of modern technology. Precisely, we analyzed the Brazilian men's championship of the series A (held in the year 2019) through notes on video arbitration published on Twitter. To achieve the proposal initially, comments were collected and cataloged from the delimited social network, which served as a subsidy for an ethnographic study. This time, they were carefully collected from the digital partner representation of the members who frequent this interactive media. The result obtains the expression of their opinion whether to agree and disagree with the utilization of the V.A.R. method during the football matches of the 2019 Brazilian championship. In that sense, from a total of 604 analyzed tweets, 66% were found as being of contrary opinions to the use of modernity and 34% favorable to that use. Therefore, this article demonstrates the application of modern technologies to the mentioned sport, the particular positive and negative aspects presented by the fans about the applied technology in the current football.
