Football for people with low vision: the development of football B2 / B3 in Brazil
Abstract
Partially sighted football is practiced by people with a visual impairment. They have a visual acuity that varies between 3/60 and 6/18 in the eye with better capacity and with the use of eye correction. The sport is also known as Football B2 / B3 because it is class that fall within the sport for the visually impaired. The objective of this study is to analyze Partially sighted football in Brazil. For this purpose, documentary analyzes such as scientific articles, books, laws, guidelines, official rules and results of competitions, such as overviews, were focused on the websites of administrative entities. Paralympic sports have not participated in a World Cup since 2007. Thus, since it is not part of the Paralympic Games, it does not receive the necessary funding for the development of sport in Brazil, and needs the attention of the organization that manages it the modality and the public power.
