Influence of distribution of plantar pressure and the body fat percentage in the posture of futsal players
Abstract
Introduction and objective: To verify the influence of plantar pressure and fat percentage on the posture of non-expert female futsal players in the city of Montes Claros-MG. Materials and methods: This is a quantitative, cross-sectional and correlational research. The sample consisted of 30 female subjects, being15 athletes and 15 control samples in the age range from 15 to 21 years. In the plantar evaluation was used the baropodometer, it was measured fat percentage through the protocol of Jackson and Pollock 7 folds, postural evaluation with the symetroghraph and plumb line. The data were analyzed through the software Statistical Package for the Social Sciences - SPSS. Results: The sample groups had a percentage of fat above the acceptable one. In the group of athletes, 66.67% had an unacceptable fat percentage. In the control group, 86.67% presented an unacceptable percentage of fat. The largest significant association in the athletes was between right shoulder depression and pronated right footing, already in the control group, there was an association between external rotation of the right hip and pronated right footing, anterior view, neutral pelvis and pronated right footing in athletes and shoulder protrusion and cavo feet in control, on side view. Conclusion: There was no significant correlation among fat percentage, posture, and plantar pressure distribution together. However, there was a significant association in both the athletes group and in the control group between plantar distribution and posture, not showing a significant relation with the fat percentage.
