Comparison between the numbers of goals achieved in the Brazilian football championship 2017 in game time function
Abstract
The match analysis has been used to better understand the game and consequently to collaborate with the process of sports training. In view of this, since the goal is the main objective in football, it has been investigated in relation to the incidence, but it was not compared if there is a difference between the number of goals scored by the teams according to the playing time. Thus, the aim of this research was to compare the number of goals scored by the teams according to the playing time. The analysis included 20 teams that competed in the 2017 Brazilian Soccer Championship, male and professional. The total was 380 games, of the 38 rounds, in turn and return. Total goals (frequency and relative) were counted in the total game time fragments (~ 15 minutes). To compare the fragments, the Anova one-way test was used, with post hoc of Bonferroni, assuming a significance of 5%. There was a difference in the number of frequency goals (p< 0,001) and relative (p< 0,001). Therefore, more goals are scored in the 30-45 minutes and 75-90 minutes. Teams that participated in the 2017 Brazilian Football Championship had more goals in the time fragments near the interval and end of the match.
