2014 World Cup in Brazil: a comparative study between the coverages by the Folha de São Paulo/ Brazil and el País/Spain Newspapers
Abstract
The aim of this study was to compare the coverages of Folha de São Paulo with El País newspapers in relation to the aspects related to organization and functioning of the sportive mega event. The units of meanings defined 2 categories. The newspaper's speech modified in face of the events during the event. First, it portrayed dissatisfaction with the event organization and subsequently predominated the news about the Brazilian capacity in executing a sportive mega event.
