Preview on futsal and female football in brazilian magazines: a review
Abstract
Futsal and women's football are modalities that only recently had their practice officialized at the end of the 20th century and, because they are not valued practices, have few studies presented in the literature. This bibliographic review aims to identify and analyze in Brazilian periodicals, considering Lilacs and Scielo databases, the articles that deal with gender bias in indoor football and football. 74 articles were identified, of which 6 (six) were considered adherent to the study topic. The results show that the main highlights about gender perceptions in football and futsal modalities, which are important concepts for the understanding of the research, were: sexuality and gender bias in women's football. Subsequent to the analyzes of the presented studies, it is possible to perceive a very low number of published articles, demonstrating that the study of this subject in Brazil still walks with slow steps. The objective and main results of these articles are highlighted in this study.
