Book review "Football versus theater: rite, scene and dramaturgy of the football show"
Abstract
This review shows the authors' views on Amorim's work called "Football versus theater: rite, scene and dramaturgy of the football show" by Paco Editorial publisher. This book is a publication drawn from the master's dissertation on Performing Arts of the author. Amorim talks about why football is considered a sport and not an art, despite of the many scenic elements that it carries. The Book is divided into three chapters: The Universes of Football: from sacred rites to modern football; Aesthetic aspects and scenic elements of football; Dramaturgy of football: from the field to the text. In the end the authors make a consideration about quality and recommend reading it.
