Quantifying the impact and effectiveness of counterattacking of the Gremio Recreativo Barueri team under 20 category in the state championship futsal in 2008
Abstract
The purpose of this article is to quantify the incidence of counterattacks and demonstrates the efficiency of each one to the under 20 Grêmio Recreativo Barueri Team in futsal regional championship in 2008. Sixteen male players, average age 19,8 ± 0,9, average high 1,77 ± 0,5, average weigh 76,5 ± 6,8, participated in this study. All participants were players of the under 20 Gremio Recreativo Barueri Team. The results revealed that there were 256 counterattacks in 23 futsal matches, being 120 matches played in home and 136 played as visitant, 45 goals resulted of counterattacks, 16 in home and 29 as visitant, 1,95 goals by matches was the average of goals. As conclusion, these findings show that the counterattacks are more incident and efficient in collective than in individual types.
