Profile and players outlook sub-13 categories and sub-15 clubs city field football professional Pelotas-RS
Abstract
Football, socio-economic-cultural phenomenon, has been practiced by people of different age groups with different purposes. Children and adolescents dream of becoming successful professional players, getting financial stability and recognition. Therefore, the present study aimed to verify the profile and perspectives arising from this practice, in children and adolescents players of the categories of sub-13 and sub-base 15 soccer field in the city of Pelotas / RS. The sample was comprised of 78 athletes from 12 to 15 years, male, intentionally selected. To collect data, a semi-structured and self-administered questionnaire consisting of 28 questions regarding demographic profile, initial sports training and future career perspectives as a professional player was used. Respondents ranged in age between 14 and 15 years, over 72% had up to 8 full years, 60.3% were white color and guess most of families living with up to two minimum wages. Almost all teenagers intent to be a professional football player (97.4%) and the most common reasons for this are like to play (46.6%), have a good future and money to help the family (15.0%) and realize the dream of being a player (11%). The perspectives of these boys are becoming recognized professional football players, successful and famous.
