Analysis of a U-11 football school motor coordination level in Florianópolis
Abstract
The aims of this study were to compare the motor coordination level of a U-11 football school before and after the specific training and to relate motor coordination with anthropometric values and motor variables, also relating motor variables themselves. The sample was made of 8 boys between 10 and 11 years old that attended regularly training sessions. It was measured height, weight and motor variables through tests: motor coordination, speed, agility, VO² max, abdominal strength and lower limbs power. The group showed homogeneity in anthropometric values and diversity in aerobic stamina. There weren’t statistically significant changes between the motor coordination tests before and after the training sessions, neither with the motor variables isolated. The study showed significant relation between agility and lower limbs power. The finding is that the required physical attributes to a nice soccer performance should be trained separated according their specificity.
