Anthropometric profile and physiological stress in soccer players league of Montevideo - Uruguai
Abstract
The aim of this study was to describe the anthropometric profile and assess the intensity of physical activity of professional players during a football game. The sample consisted of professional football players club Montevideo, mean age 23±4.05 years, height 178.9±4.6 cm and weight 78.5±3.9 kg. The variables weight, height, skinfold thickness were measured in order to estimate body composition of players. Regarding the cardiovascular response during the match was obtained using telemetric heart rate for such purpose. Data regarding body composition was verified that the players are on average 15.4±2.3 % body fat. The average heart rate of the players during the game was 159.36±6.97 bpm, average play time of 81±7.23 min. The central or brand flyers are the 76,85 % of the total playing time above 80 % of HRmax, which are playing time 62.24 minutes , in this period there was a variation in VO2max between 50 -70 ml/kg/min. Players had a body fat percentage very high, which may be a factor limiting physical performance during the match.
