Obtaining and improvement of human values for teenagers from 14 to 17 years old through basketball
Abstract
Objective: To ascertain whether learners through external evaluation and self assessment notice any change with respect to the acquisition and improvement of cited human values in the assessment tool and the importance of these values to their everyday life. Materials and methods: In this study involved 10 teenagers, students of the same institution of learning, participants of basketball training, participating in a evaluation, there was a first moment of self-evaluation, a second moment to review the educator and a third time after discussion between educator and students reach a final assessment instrument adapted for use from Passe de Mágica Institute, in which the teacher participated in the preparation of the same process. Result: 100% of students had advances in obtainingand improves the studied human values through applied games at training, conversation and reflection, although some advances, all students evolved. Discussion: New Trends in Sport Pedagogy come to change the traditional methods of working and dealing with the sport. The methods used in this work agree to those used in New Trends, providing a broad environment of possibilities and situations, capable for unbalancing and to cause tensions, so that the student can solve and overcome problem situations encountered at the game, in particular in this study with basketball. Conclusion: The 10 assessed students perceived changes in their behavior after their participation in training and they noted the importance of worked and assessed values in basketball training
