Analysis and characterization of athletes and positions through shares with ball in Brazilian championship football levelA 2013
Abstract
Footballis a sport in constant evolution that requires many aspects to this process to continue. One such aspect is the analysis that is increasingly present in the literature, still leaving many gaps in several relevant issues, the aim of this study is to determine the time of possession individual, characterize and differentiate players and positions through the actions with the ball. The methodology consists of the sample of thirty athletes from professional football teams from five different positions. These athletes are observed during matches and their shares with ball are recorded and timed. The time that an athlete gets the ball is greater than maximum time reported by news. In some positions the efficiency was not the same required in the literature. The technical characteristics presented on both sides were similar. The timethatan athlete gets the ball during a match can vary greatly due to several factors. The technical features are almost the same in theory and demonstrated in practice.
