Comparation of vertical jump and rebound with basketball athletes on initiation
Abstract
This study has as its theme the comparison between vertical jump and rebound of students from a school of sports in Taubaté to see if there is a relationship between who jumps higher and who can grab more rebounds. Through a qualitative study with individuals aged 12-16 years, of both sexes, theobjective of this study is to use protocols to obtain data relating to each of the students as jumps and the number of rebounds. Furthermore, we intend to apply tests that meet the needs of this research. The results show that there was no relationship between vertical jump and rebounds, as the highest individual analyzed had only one rebound, while smaller ones had more success, winning top number. Thus, this study concluded that, because it is sports initiation, it takes into consideration the time of the foundation of the ball to rebound as highly decisive factor. Another relevant factor found was the lack of interference from the height of the individuals analyzed in time during the procedure rebound.
