Analysis of goalkeeprs' defensive actions in the XXX Brazil club cup 2023
Abstract
With technological advances, data analysis has been increasingly inserted into the sports environment, seeking to help coaches and members of the technical committee in the development of the sport, with this advance performance analysis has been gaining prominence on the scene. Despite this significant advance, there is a considerable shortage in women's futsal in relation to the analysis of goalkeepers. In order to minimize this gap in the literature, this research aims to carry out a descriptive analysis of the defensive actions of goalkeepers in the XXX Women's Futsal Club Brazil Cup 2023, held in the city of Londrina-PR. To this end, 741 goalkeepers' defensive actions were analyzed in 33 games, totaling 28 goalkeepers analyzed, aged between 17 and 36. The results were that the most used action was Positional Defense (PD), performed 199 times (26.85%); followed by Goalkeeping (SG) performed 140 times (18.89%) and the third most used action was Defense Without Falling (DSQ), performed 91 times (12.28%). The least used specific action during the competition was the High Right Drop (QAD), which was performed just 13 times (1.75%). A deeper understanding of this data could make a significant contribution to the improvement of teams and the advancement of women's futsal as a whole.
