Profile of characterizes goals football teams in high yield
Abstract
This study aimed to describe and identify which the area of origin of the pass preceding that in which goal in the Football and the conclusion zone with higher frequency of occurrence (spatial dimension) as well as recognize what time of the occurrence goal (time dimension). It also sought to verify whether there association between the dimensions of space and time for teams of different level of performance and result of the game. Were analyzed 1092 goals from Brazilian Football Championship, 2009 Series A. Two evaluators, with training and practical experience in the observation area of the game, have made the analysis of the imagery. In statistical procedures, we used descriptive statistics presenting frequencies and percentages. In the inferences we adopted the chi-square test. The significance level was maintained at 5%. The results showed that the zone of origin of the pass that showed highest percentage of occurrence was the zone 11 within the penalty area, the conclusion zone (goal) that showed the highest percentage of occurrence was the zone 11 within the penalty area; the conclusion zone (goal) that showed the highest percentage of occurrence was the zone 11 inside the penalty area and the time of occurrence of the goal (sub-divisions of the 1st and 2nd game time) that showed the highest percentage of occurrence was the interval 31min situated between the end of the second time of play. The study revealed there is no association between the dimensions of time and space for teams of different performance level as well as result of the game.
