Analysis and comparison of technical indicators of the national football league 7 (fut7)
Abstract
Football 7 has gained prominence in the country in recent years, but scientific studies on it are still scarce, especially regarding technical-tactical aspects. This article aims to present the scenario of technical performance in Football 7 across different regions of Brazil. Additionally, it describes offensive and defensive technical indicators and compares them between teams with the best scores and those that did not score during the qualifying phase of the 2022 National League of Football 7. Data collection was carried out by three Physical Education professionals and Football 7 scouts. Offensive indicators (goals, saved shots, shots off target, and blocked shots) and defensive indicators (tackles, interceptions, and ball recoveries) were collected from 56 games. The findings revealed that the Northeast region exhibited the best performance (three out of the top six positions were held by Northeastern teams) and had the highest average of offensive actions per game. Conversely, the South region had the highest average of defensive actions. The results indicated that teams with higher scores statistically had more goals and saved shots compared to teams with lower scores. These differences were considered statistically significant, with large effect sizes. Future research should consider focusing on the female audience, younger age categories, and goalkeepers. Based on objective data, the results can be valuable for professionals and athletes in making technical-tactical decisions and provide insights for the development of Football 7.
