Anthropometry, body composition and agility: a comparison between the tactical positions of futsal players
Abstract
Introduction: The evolution of futsal gave greater dynamics of the game and triggered greater physical and tactical demands, making the morphological variables and physical capacities more and more considered and developed. Objective: To compare the anthropometric profile, body composition and agility in female futsal players according to the position of the game tactic. Materials and Methods: The sample consisted of 17 athletes (21.82 ±4.10 years, 56.20 ±8.20 kg and 1.59 ±0.07m) grouped in the following positions: Pivot, Wing, Fixed and Goalkeeper. Anthropometric assessments, body composition and agility were performed. The normality of the data was verified by the Shapiro-Wilk test. The results were grouped according to the game position and the one-way ANOVA test was used. and adopted a significance level of p<0.05. Results: There was no statistical difference between positions. It is also considered that, among the absolute values, goalkeepers represent the position that presented the greatest results in the analyzed variables. Discussion: The anthropometric data of this study are similar to the data in the literature, however the players presented a high% F, for activities of rapid application of force, these values may decrease the performance of important game actions such as sprints. Conclusion: The knowledge about the physical demand of the positions and the factors that can influence it must be considered by physical trainers who work in this modality. The high values in the percentage of fat and lack of statistical difference in agility is reflected in training that is not focused on the fundamental capabilities of the sport and mainly those required between the tactical positions.
