Comparative study of expected goals tool between international leagues and brazilian championships
Abstract
The goals is the most important moment in football, and despite that, the chances created are rere. This is one of the reasons why clubs look talented strikers, generating high cost, and coaches seek to create a strategy to block opposing team, making football even more complex. Based on the events of the games and comparing the number of goals opportunities created during the match, Expected Goals (Xg) is a way of quantifying these scoring chances. It is a tool uses to quantify goal opportunities, allowing a better understanding of the team’ ability to score.
