Kinetic-functional aspects associated with lumbar pain in footvolley athletes
Abstract
Introduction: A region with important numbers of injuries in footvolley athletes it's the spine, where, predominantly, will be installed in lumbar spine. Objective: The present study aims to analyze kinetic-functional aspects in footvolley athletes from two teams, in Montes Claros-MG. Materials and methods: It is based in a descriptive research with quantitative approach, transversal and correlational, consisting in a sample formed for footvolley players from two teams of Montes Claros-MG. For the evaluation of fat percentage was used 3-site skinfold Jackson and Pollock protocol. Postural evaluation with symmetrograph and plumb line. The physical activity level was investigated for International Physical Activity Questionnaire (IPAQ, short version). In assessing flexibility was accomplised sit and reach test using Wells bank which has been designed by the researches based on Wells bank. Thomas test was realized with a participant in dorsal decubitus on a marquise, who performs contralateral hip flexion to the lower limb in test, intended to decrease lumbar curvature and stabilize the pelvis. Results and discussion: There was a predominance of female (61%) and the sample mean age was 24,6 years. The pain was presented in 50% of the assessed in the research sample. There weren't found significant correlations on the participants with and without pain. Conclusion: On this research there weren't found correlations between research variables and lumbar pain in footvolley athletes.
