Analysis of the incidence of goals at the Mineiro Championship 2017
Abstract
Aim: The study aimed to analyze the incidence of goals in the 2017 Minas Gerais Football Championship and its relationship with the result of the match. Methods: They were analyzed as overviews of 72 matches of the competition, which were scored 160 goals, which were organized in intervals of 15 minutes. Information was collected from the website of the Federação Mineira de Futebol. Descriptive analysis (mean, frequency and standard deviation) and the ANOVA one way test was used to compare the goals in each time interval between the results of the matches. The significance level was p<0.05. Results: In the study studied, there was a higher frequency of goals scored in the second half (53.11%), with most of them still occurring after 75 minutes of play (23.75%). Conclusion: Although there were no significant differences in the time intervals and to the result of the match, note a higher frequency of goals in the second half, especially in the last 15-minute interval (76-90 +).
